A woman was beaten up and shot dead by her father for talking online with a man she met on the website Facebook.
The case was reported on a Saudi Arabian news site as an example of the “strife” the social networking site is causing in the Islamic nation.
It said the man shot his daughter after discovering she had been chatting online to a young man she had met on Facebook.

That’s simply crazy… From a human and human rights perspective.
Furthermore, social networking sites are key to KSA’s future (if this place is to truly take advantage of the promise, for example, of the upcoming Economic Cities). Why? Because many people obtain business leads from sites like Facebook and the business-only LinkedIn.com.

what is wrong with people?! this news has been spread all through the world, people are now questioning Islam more and more! people are asking for human rights!! people are blaming the religion not the person
I hate this! this father has committed a crime that goes against any religion!

What kind of a cruel, heartless father he is? ‘Beating then shooting’ his own daughter for simply chatting on Facebook? I mean, REALLY???
With such backward, rigid and extreme mentalities, Saudi Arabia will NEVER EVER see the light of civilzation and take a place in the 21st world we currently live in. Instead, we will forever be trapped in the Stone Age from which this wicked father came. Those people are hindering the progress and betterment of our country. Such violent people, who blindly follow murderous ideologies, are only enforcing some sick social beliefs that deprive women from their simple God-given rights.
I’m sick of this whole thing! IF there were strict rules and laws protecting women in this country, that barbaric father wouldn’t have even thought to shoot his daughter dead.
I’m just wondering, do you think he would have reacted the same way if he came to find his SON chatting on Facebook? I seriously doubt it!
